Lithium Backup Battery High Current Drain

Problem
Under certain conditions, the Micrologger will enter a latch-up state, resulting in excessive current drain from the Lithium backup battery (if fitted). This will drastically shorten the lifespan of the backup battery, which may result in data loss.
This problem will affect all 8010A Micrologger (PCB# 6127B) based products ONLY if a Lithium backup battery is fitted to BT1 location on the PCB.
Correction
Return the defective product to Unidata for modification under warranty. Alternatively, contact Unidata for a copy of the Engineering Change Order (#101), if you wish to perform the modification. Please note that user modification will void warranty.
All affected product shipped after 23/1/04 will be modified to correct this fault.
