4 Electrode Water Conductivity Probe (6536P/2)

Accuracy at Low Readings

Problem

The Four Electrode Conductivity Cell (4EC cell) fitted in the Model 6536P/2 Water Conductivity Probe (and earlier 6536P probes) 4 Electrode Water Conductivity Probe will not hold +/- 2% accuracy at low readings below 500 uS/cm, and especially below 100uS/cm. The Model 6536C (or B) 4 Electrode Water Conductivity Instrument /MicroLogger on the other hand will retain 1% accuracy throughout its specified range.

Correction

The 6536P/2 4 Electrode Water Conductivity Probe should be considered to have the following accuracy:

Conductivity Range Probe Accuracy Probe and Inst. Accuracy
Above 500uS/cm 2% 3% (max)
Between 500 – 100uS/cm 3% 4% (max)
Below 100uS/cm 4% 5% (max)

Should your application require greater accuracy below 500uS/cm (at the expense of higher readings), contact your local distributor for special probes manufactured specifically for low conductivity.
