Power Consumption Problem

Problem
When using a scan rate in excess of 15 seconds, and a scheme in which the User Power Supply (UPS) is enabled to power instruments, the UPS will turn ON every 4 seconds regardless of scheme UPS power on settings. This will causes excessive drain of battery power, particularly if using a long UPS pre-scan value. The problem affects all Prologgers with revision V033.03 or earlier firmware. (The firmware revision can be checked by pressing the ON key n the logger and reading the value off the LCD).
Correction
Upgrade the logger firmware to V033.04. The can be done using Starlog Version 3 software – this can be performed in field by the customer.
