Shorting of External Power on Shrouded Input Connectors

Problem
New data loggers now use metal shrouded connectors and care must be exercised when plugging in a signal cable that has active signals (such as external power) as these signals may be shorted to adjacent pins on the signal connector plug (i.e. Pin 16 External Power and Pin 14 Analog Ground).
