Sub-Interval Averaging with Model 6003 PDL Loggers Incorrect
23 May 1997
42.1 Sub-Interval Averaging with Model 6003 PDL Loggers Incorrect
Problem
An error in the assembler macro file for Model 6003 PDL Loggers results in sub-interval averages being calculated in the same way as regular averages. Instead of only a few samples being taken just before the log interval, samples are taken over the entire log interval.
42.2 Loss of Resolution with Instruments Using Counter Channels
Problem
Instruments using counter channels (such as Rainfall instruments), had incorrect input ranges set.
Symptoms
Readings of affected instruments jump up in multiples, the exact multiple dependent on the scan rate.
42.3 Model 7000 Macro Logger Hi-Resolution Channels A8-A15 Do Not Work Correctly
Problem
Instruments using hi-resolution channels 8-15 give crazy results. The problem is caused by incorrect entries in the logger database file, PDLLGGR.DBS. Configuration addresses for channels 10-15 are incorrect, and channels 8-15 are configured to read inputs 0-7 instead of 8-15.
