11.1 Configuration error when using asynchronous communications
Problem
During task swapping, Port 2 internal PGE register is not restored.
This problem is only apparent when the logger is multi-tasking (which is not currently the default configuration).
Symptom
When the logger is set for asynchronous RS-232 communications (not the default SCAN Sync), CONFIG during loading a Scheme sometimes reports an error.
The CONFIG automatically retries and completes correctly.
Correction
Upgrade the firmware in the logger to V21.6 (STARLOGGER) or V35 (MACRO).
11.2 Lockup in DIAGNOSTIC Mode (STARLOGGER only)
Problem
When “playing” with “C” control register settings, it is possible to switch OFF the RS-232 comms and power directly.
Symptom
Logger switches OFF and cannot be initialised.
Correction
- Upgrade the firmware in the logger to V21.6 (STARLOGGER).
- Remove battery for ten seconds and reconnect.
Note
These problems have been fixed in loggers with Serial #s above 551 (STARLOGGER) and 5200 (MACRO).
