The Macro loggers CDT should be accessible via version 3 software. Connect the Macro logger, start the Starlog V3 software, Select system then "CDT Editor". The title of the CDT screen should be "Model 7000 Macro Logger Configuration". If this screen does not appear check C:\starlog\eng for the file 7000.cdm if the file does exist open the file C:\starlog\pdlcdt.db for an entry "3??? PDL7000.CDM". if the pdl7000.cdm file does not exist please contact support@unidata.com for a replacment file. Once the CDT is working you can then set the RS-232 timeout as required. Q2ans: If the instrument requires a differential input it should automatically set the channels to differental mode. To set this manually see pgs 42 and 51 in the "Macro Hardware supplement" (pub#6233).
